Jungian/Depth Approach

Carl Jung is a Swiss psychiatrist and psychologist who developed the basis for psychoanalytic psychology and is famously known for his study of the conscious and unconscious mind. Jungian psychology is based upon the theories developed by Jung and specific interventions he developed to access the unconscious mind, such as: shadow work, the individuation process, archetypal imagery, active imagination, and integration of the Self to heal wounding from our inherent experiences as human beings.

Jung believed in the soul and synchronicity (a meaningful coincidence), which is significant to the psychology practices many use today. I utilize theories from Jungian psychology and psychoanalytic perspectives to help you explore unconscious and conscious aspects of the Self to heal soul wounding and all parts of who we are through an integrative process.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of therapy that utilizes bilateral stimulation (BLS) usually in the form of eye movements, tapping or auditory tones to accelerate the brain’s capacity to process and heal a troubling memory, thought, feeling, or phobia. BLS stimulates the same eye movements which occur during Rapid Eye Movement (REM) or dream sleep. BLS causes two parts of the brain to work in conjunction to reintegrate a memory.

Research has demonstrated that EMDR is effective for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress, phobias, panic attacks, anxiety disorders, stress, sexual and physical abuse, disturbing memories, complicated grief, and chronic pain.

  • When a judge orders the release of information.

While these events have rarely occurred in my practice, if it does happen, I will make an effort to fully discuss it with you before taking any action. If I must ethically and legally breach confidentiality, I will reveal the minimum amount of information needed to protect you or others.

Good Faith Estimates

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical
items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at
